I'm a nerd and I'm always reading, especially Archie comics. This is my last summer as a kid. In the fall, I'll be starting high school, at Polyvalente Maisonneuve. There, all the kids act like they don't give a damn. They hang around with sweaty faces and raccoon-like eye makeup, hurling insults at each other. They smoke cigarettes, probably imagining they look like hip-hop stars. Maybe there's some chemical reaction in the human brain that kicks in when you're 13 and instantly makes you stupid?
